These prices may look spectacular, but just a few years before this price list was written George A. Hormel was making $75 a month. He knew that high quality cuts of meat in a clean environment would keep his products moving out the door, but there was no shortage of competition for his fledgling meat market and packing house. A wide variety of high-quality products were necessary to establish the Hormel® brand name that we still trust today.
