  • 1 (10-ounce) package frozen asparagus spears, cooked and drained
  • 2 (5-ounce) cans Hormel® Chunk Ham, drained and flaked
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

    Heat oven to 375°F.

    Cut asparagus spears into quarters.

    In each of two small casseroles, arrange 1/2 each of asparagus and ham.

    In small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; stir in flour. Cook, stirring constantly, 30 seconds. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes longer or until thickened.

    Stir remaining ingredients into saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Spoon over ham in casserole. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
