  • 1 pound Hormel® Black Label® Bacon
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes with basil
  • 1 (12-ounce) package bow-tie pasta, cooked and drained

    Cut bacon into 1/2-inch pieces. In large skillet, brown bacon over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove bacon with slotted spoon.

    Add onion to bacon drippings in skillet. Cook until onion is softened. Add tomatoes; cook 10 minutes. Add bacon and bow-tie pasta to skillet; cook 5 minutes longer or until heated thoroughly.

Notes:

  1. Hormel® fully cooked bacon or microwave bacon can be used instead of the raw bacon. Simply heat bacon according to package directions and sauté onion in 1 tablespoon melted butter instead of bacon drippings.
