Bacon Biscuits and Gravy

INGREDIENTS


  • 8 strips HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Premium Maple Black Pepper Bacon
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 4 eggs, cooked as desired
  • 4 frozen buttermilk biscuits, cooked according to package directions

DIRECTIONS


In medium skillet, over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp.  Chop bacon and set aside.
Reserve 2 tablespoons bacon grease in skillet. Whisk in flour until smooth, cook 1 minute. Gradually whisk in broth and milk. Bring mixture to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add poultry seasoning and pepper and simmer 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in chopped bacon. Season with salt to taste.
Serve gravy, and eggs over split biscuits.
