START WITH AN A-DOUGH-ABLE CRUST

Refrigerated Biscuit Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3-ounce) can refrigerated biscuits
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Grease two baking sheets.
  2. Press each biscuit into 6-inch round; place on baking sheets.
  3. Top each round evenly with pizza sauce and toppings. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown and cheese is bubbly.

Pita Pizza

Ingredients

  • 4- whole wheat pita bread breads (6 inches)
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Place pita breads on a baking sheet.
  2. Top each pita with desired toppings.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until crust is browned and cheese is melted.

Pan Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen store-bought pizza dough, thawed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. Heat to 475°F. Place a 12-inch cast-iron skillet in the oven to preheat for 10 minutes.
  2. Roll or stretch dough into a 14-inch circle. Carefully remove skillet from the oven. Drizzle two thirds of the olive oil into the skillet, then carefully transfer the dough to the skillet, pressing the dough up edges of pan.
  3. Spread sauce and toppings over dough. Brush dough edges with the remaining olive oil. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Transfer to a cutting board. Cut into slices and serve.

Air Fryer French Bread Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, sliced lengthwise and then in half
  • Desire sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and desired toppings

Directions

  1. Set air fryer to 350°F. Line basket bottom with foil, if desired. Place half the bread slices in air fryer basket, cut sides up. Bake 3 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove basket from air fryer.
  2. Top toasted bread slices with desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings.
  3. Place air fryer basket back into air fryer and bake an additional 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese is melted and pepperoni is crisp.
  4. Repeat with remaining bread slices.

Air Fryer Pizza Bagels

Ingredients

  • 5 sliced mini bagels
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. Set air fryer to 360°F. Line basket bottom with foil, if desired.
  2. Place 5 bagel halves in air fryer basket, cut sides up. Top with desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings.
  3. Air fry 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and toppings are crisp. Repeat with remaining bagel halves.

Wood Fired Pizza

Ingredients

  • Prepared or store bought pizza dough
  • Flour
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. Preheat pizza oven according to manufacturer’s instructions. Let pizza stone heat to 800°F, about 20 minutes.
  2. On lightly floured surface, roll out 1 pizza dough into a 10 to 12-inch round. Transfer dough to floured metal pizza peel. Spread sauce evenly on the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border uncovered. Top with desired toppings.
  3. Using pizza peel, transfer pizza to the preheated pizza stone. Bake 1 to 3 minutes, rotating pizza with metal peel for even cooking, or until crust is charred and crisp and cheese is bubbly.
  4. Using pizza peel, transfer pizza to a cutting board. Cut into slices and serve immediately.

Beer Crust Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12-ounce) bottle pilsner beer, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in beer until mixture forms a sticky dough. Turn out onto lightly floured surface. Knead dough 5 to 7 minutes or until smooth and elastic, sprinkling with additional flour as needed. Divide dough in half. Roll into balls. Cover each with plastic wrap and allow to rest 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oven to 500°F. Roll or stretch 1 ball of dough into a 10-inch round. Transfer to pizza pan.
  3. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Top with desired sauce and toppings. Bake 5 minutes. Top with one-half package pepperoni. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until crust is golden, cheese is bubbly, and toppings are crisp.

Grilled Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough, formed into 2 balls
  • Kosher salt
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. Lightly oil 2 medium bowls. Place 1 dough ball in each one. Lightly grease tops of dough balls. Cover each bowl with plastic wrap. Allow to rise at room temperature until doubled in volume, about 2 hours.
  2. On floured surface, roll 1 dough ball into a disk about 12-inches x 10-inches and 1/4-inch thick using rolling pin. Shake off excess flour and place on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper. Repeat with remaining dough ball, placing a sheet of parchment between each.
  3. Heat grill to medium-high with indirect heat. Brush top of 1 dough round with a thin layer of oil. Season with kosher salt. Place gently on hot side of grill, oiled side down. Immediately brush top side with thin layer of oil and season with salt. Cook 45 to 90 seconds, checking frequently and moving to encourage even browning until bottom is dark brown and charred in spots and top is bubbly. Flip using tongs or large spatula and cook until second side is charred. Flip again and transfer to cooler side of grill.
  4. Top pizza surface with desired sauce and toppings. Cover and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted and toppings are crisp. Transfer pizza to cutting board with large spatula or metal pizza peel. Repeat with remaining ingredients to make 2 pizzas.

Cast-Iron Skillet Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 475°F. Place a 12-inch cast-iron skillet in the oven for 10 minutes to preheat it.
  2. Meanwhile, roll or stretch dough into a 14-inch circle. Carefully remove skillet from oven. Drizzle two thirds of the olive oil into skillet, then carefully transfer dough to skillet, pressing dough up edges of pan.
  3. Add desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings. Brush dough edges with remaining olive oil. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Transfer to cutting board. Cut into slices and serve.

Stuffed Crust Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 pound prepared pizza dough
  • 7 string cheeses, unwrapped
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Conventional Oven Directions

  1. Lift edge of pizza dough up to create lip around edges.
  2. Arrange string cheese around the edge of the crust, leaving ¾-inch space along edge.
  3. Fold edge of dough over string cheese, pinching down to seal.
  4. Top crust with desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings.
  5. Carefully slide pizza onto lightly floured pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake 6 minutes; rotate pizza 180 degrees.
  6. Cook 6 to 8 minutes longer or until crust is golden brown and charred in spots.
  7. Use pizza peel to slide pizza onto cutting board. Let rest 1 minute before slicing.

Wood Fire Oven Directions

  1. Allow time for oven to cool to 500°F.
  2. Lift edge of pizza dough up to create lip around edges.
  3. Arrange string cheese around the edge of the crust, leaving ¾-inch space along edge.
  4. Fold edge of dough over string cheese, pinching down to seal.
  5. Top crust with desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings.
  6. Place pizza into oven and give the peel a light jerk to transfer pizza from peel to floor of pizza oven. The crust will begin to puff up and cook immediately.
  7. After 40 seconds, slip the peel under pizza and rotate 180 degrees to ensure even cooking. Do not shift the pizza to another part of the oven when rotating. The cooking will be much faster than in a conventional oven. Bake 2 to 3 minutes or until the crust is browned, cheese is melted, and toppings are bubbling.

Pizza with Pre-Baked Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-inch) prebaked pizza crust
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spread desired sauce and toppings. Place pepperoni over cheese.
  2. Bake pizza 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and pepperoni is crisp.

Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons warm water
  • 2 tablespoons dry white wine
  • ¾ teaspoon active-dry yeast
  • ½ teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • Cornmeal for dusting
  • Flour for dusting
  • Desired sauce, HORMEL® pepperoni product and toppings

Directions

  1. In medium bowl, whisk together water, wine and yeast until yeast dissolves. Stir in honey, salt and olive oil. Stir in flour until dough forms. Add additional water one tablespoon at a time, if needed.
  2. Sprinkle flour onto surface and knead dough 2 minutes.
  3. Coat clean bowl with cooking spray. Place dough in bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until doubled.
  4. Heat oven to 500°F. Sprinkle thin layer of cornmeal on baking sheet.
  5. Once dough has doubled, return to floured surface and gently deflate by pressing. Form into ball, sprinkle with flour and let rest 15 minutes, covered with plastic wrap.
  6. Roll dough until thin; transfer to cornmeal-coated baking sheet. Spread with desired sauce and toppings. Bake 7 to 10 minutes or until crust is lightly browned and cheese is bubbly.
