Bacon Cheddar Lasagna

INGREDIENTS
2 (12-ounce) packages
HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Premium Pecanwood Thick Cut bacon
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (14.5-ounce) can chopped tomatoes, drained
6 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Cook bacon according to package directions; drain. Reserve 12 bacon strips; crumble remaining bacon.
2. In large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion 5 to 10 minutes or until beef is no longer pink; drain. Stir in crumbled bacon, tomato sauce and chopped tomatoes. Heat thoroughly.
3. Spread 1 cup meat sauce in 13x9-inch baking dish. Layer with 3 lasagna noodles, ⅓ of the meat sauce and 1 ⅓ cups cheese. Layer with 6 reserved bacon slices, ⅓ of the meat sauce and 1 ⅓ cups cheese. Layer with remaining 3 lasagna noodles, meat sauce and cheese. Top with 6 reserved bacon slices.
4. Cover pan with foil. Bake 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Serves 12.
