Ingredients
| ½ | cup baking mix |
| ½ | cup yellow cornmeal |
| ½ | (6-ounce) package HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Canadian bacon slices, chopped |
| 2 | ounces Monterey jack cheese with peppers |
| 1 | tablespoon chopped chipotle peppers in adobe sauce |
| ¼ | cup grated white onion |
| ⅓ | fluid ounce amber beer |
| 1 | egg, lightly beaten |
| ⅜ | teaspoon salt |
| Canola oil for frying |
Directions
In large bowl, combine baking mix and next 8 ingredients, until blended.
Pour oil to depth of 2 inches in large skillet or medium saucepan. Heat oil to 325° F.
Drop batter by level tablespoonfuls, gently into hot oil and cook, 2 to 3 minutes or until golden and cooked through, turning often.
Drain on paper towel lined rack. Serve immediately.
