STAGG® Chinese Chili



PREP TIME: 10 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 30 minutes


  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans STAGG® DYNAMITE HOT® Chili with Beans
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 4 cups hot cooked rice
  • Toppings: Chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeño pepper, and cubed avocado


  1. In large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add onion. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds or until fragrant. Stir in five-spice powder. Add chili, hoisin sauce, chili-garlic paste and soy sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Serve with rice and desired toppings.
