Try this Chinese-inspired version! Made with hot chili with beans, fragrant grated ginger, aromatic five-spice powder, sweet hoisin sauce, spicy chili garlic paste, and salty soy sauce, this Chinese Chili is bursting with flavor and perfect for serving over hot rice.
|1||small onion, sliced|
|1||clove garlic, minced|
|1||tablespoon grated fresh ginger|
|1||teaspoon five-spice powder|
|2||(15-ounce) cans STAGG® DYNAMITE HOT® Chili with Beans|
|2||tablespoons hoisin sauce|
|2||teaspoons chili garlic paste|
|1||teaspoon soy sauce|
|4||cups hot cooked rice|
|Toppings: Chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeño pepper, and cubed avocado|
In large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add onion. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds or until fragrant. Stir in five-spice powder. Add chili, hoisin sauce, chili-garlic paste and soy sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Serve with rice and desired toppings.
