Savory Pepperoni Pizza Waffles with Egg

Ingredients

 
12 ounces pizza dough
¼ cup marinara sauce, plus more for dipping, if desired
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
20 slices HORMEL® Pepperoni
4 tablespoons chopped green bell peppers
2 fried eggs
Freshly chopped herbs and grated
Parmesan cheese for garnish, if desired

Directions

  1. Preheat Belgian waffle iron for medium-high heat. Spray with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Roll into balls.

  3. Stretch each ball into 8-inch circle. Top 2 dough rounds with 2 tablespoons marinara sauce, ¼ cup cheese, 10 pepperoni slices and 1 tablespoon green peppers. Cover with remaining dough rounds, pinching to seal.

  4. Carefully transfer to prepared waffle iron. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until dough is golden brown and crisp.

  5. Repeat with remaining waffle.

  6. Top each waffle with 1 fried egg, herbs and Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve with remaining marinara sauce for dipping.
