8 | ounces fettuccine pasta |
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste | |
½ | cup butter |
2 | cloves garlic, minced |
1 | cup heavy cream |
1 | cup grated Parmesan cheese |
Dash nutmeg | |
1 | (12-ounce) package HORMEL® SQUARE TABLE® Flame Seared Chicken Breast warmed according to package directions and cut into strips |
Chopped fresh Italian parsley and additional grated Parmesan cheese, for serving |
Directions
Bring large pot of salted water to boil. Add fettuccine. Cook until al dente, or according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta cooking water. Drain.
In large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add garlic. Cook 30 seconds or until fragrant. Whisk in cream, Parmesan and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened. Stir in pasta, tossing to coat. Stir in reserved pasta cooking water to thin sauce if necessary. Top with chicken slices. Garnish with parsley, additional Parmesan cheese and black pepper.
