Chili Cornbread Waffle

 

INGREDIENTS


  • 2 cups cornmeal mix
  • 1 ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 (15-ounce) can HORMEL® chili, heated
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Toppings: Shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, diced avocado, sour cream, fresh cilantro leaves

DIRECTIONS


In large bowl, combine cornmeal mix, buttermilk and eggs. Stir in melted butter.
Prepare waffle iron for medium heat.
Cook waffles according to manufacturer’s instructions. Top waffles with warm chili, and cheese. Serve with desired toppings.
