Chili Beer Cheese Bacon Brat

Chili Beer Cheese Bacon Brat



PREP TIME: 30 minutes

TOTAL TIME: 45 minutes


  • 8 strips HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Bacon - Original
  • 8 fully cooked cheddar brats
  • 8 pretzel hotdog buns, split and toasted
  • Chili Beer Cheese Sauce (recipe follows)
  • 1 cup sautéed onions
  • 2 jalapenos, sliced

Chili Beer Cheese Sauce:




  1. Cook bacon until slightly cooked but not crispy. Wrap bacon tightly around brats, tucking in ends.
  2. Heat grill to 350°F. Spray grill with non-stick cooking spray. Place bacon wrapped brats on grill and cook 5 to 7 minutes each side or until bacon is fully cooked and crisped.
  3. Serve brats on toasted buns with Chili Beer Cheese Sauce, onions and jalapenos.

Make Chili Beer Cheese Sauce:

In medium saucepan over medium heat, pour beer. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes. Add chili, cream cheese and shredded cheese. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring, until combined and smooth.
