4 tablespoons oil
5 spicy Italian sausage links, skin removed, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
3 banana peppers, chopped
5 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (6-ounce) tomato paste
2 (15-ounce) cans HORMEL® Chili, No Beans
3 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 tablespoon red chili flakes
8 burger buns, toasted
4 cups shredded mozzarella


  1. In large saucepan over medium heat, heat oil. Add sausage and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until browned. Add onion and peppers; cook 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and tomato paste, chili, water, salt, pepper and chili flakes. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

  2. Serve on buns topped with cheese.
