3 eggs
¼ cup half-and-half
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
8 slices sturdy white or sourdough bread
¼ cup Dijon mustard
¼ cup mayonnaise
8 ounces Gruyere cheese, grated
1 (8-ounce) package HORMEL® NATURAL CHOICE® Deli Honey Ham
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
Powdered sugar and raspberry jam, for serving


  1. In shallow dish whisk together eggs, half-and-half and salt.

  2. Spread 4 slices bread with mustard. Spread other 4 slices bread with mayonnaise. Sprinkle half the cheese on mustard slices. Place the ham on top of the cheese, then sprinkle the remaining cheese over the ham. Close the sandwiches with the remaining bread mayonnaise side down.

  3. Heat griddle to medium heat; add 2 tablespoons butter. Dip 2 sandwiches in egg mixture, shaking to remove excess. Place on griddle and cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining butter and sandwiches. Serve with powdered sugar and raspberry jam.
